The Quality Assurance (QA) function in CafeTran lets you catch and correct the mistakes which are most likely to occur.

  1. Enable the QA menu via the View > Show QA menu.
  2. Choose from the QA menu a QA check that you wish to perform. For example, "Tags check" verifies the agreement between the tags in the source and target segments.
  3. If there are any issues, CafeTran will filter out and display the affected segments in the segments grid.
  4. Correct the current segment and move forward or back using the usual navigation buttons in the target segment toolbar. You can switch back to the normal unfiltered view anytime by clicking the Filter button in the segments grid.

Checking spelling in target segments requires downloading and activation of the spell-check dictionary for your target language as described here.

If you wish to perform QA actions on checked segments, please make sure that the "QA for checked segments" option is enabled in Edit > Preferences > QA tab. In projects coming from other translation tools, checked segments may have a translated status.
