By design, PDF documents cannot be edited directly and they need some kind of conversion to be able to translate them. CafeTran offers a clipboard workflow as a comfortable solution to translate such files.

The steps are the same in the Basic Clipboard workflow, except that you copy the source language text from your favourite PDF viewer. After the export to Ms Word or LibreOffice Writer, you can save the document back in the PDF format in those applications.
