For the AI message, CafeTran takes the current segment set in the editor or the selection in the current segment. However, when navigating between segments, the 4-second pause was implemented for the connection time (to send a message and receive the answer) between OpenAI's AI server and the program. Thus, when moving fast between the segments, you may not see the translation for the current segment. In the 12.0.2 update, the pause between the connections has been reduced to 2 seconds.
I find that this issue occurs also when I don't move fast between segments. (I don't use the CT-L1 function very often, sometimes even after tens of minutes or more.)
It also happens that when I click on "Translate" while CT-L1 still shows the previous translation, it often keeps showing that very translation. Sometimes I have to click several time here and there to do a sort of "reset".
More specifically, when the previous translation is shown in the CT-L1 pane and the "Translate" button is pressed, that very translation gets selected.
No matter how hard I try, I can't reproduce it. CafeTran 12.0.3 does not erase the contents of the previous AI response if you repeat a prompt still on the same segment. Perhaps, this will show some clue?

But it's so evident here.

I n general, unless I restart CTE, if the contents of the previous AI response is still shown when I make a new query a few or many segments later, CT-L1 highlights the old response and repeats the same response. To change this behavior I have to click a few times in the editor.
When the current project will be finished I'll reinstall CTE, unless the most recent update (which I haven't installed yet) will change this undesired behavior.
Meanwhile I've found a simple workaround: just click somewhere in the CT-L1 tab before hitting "Translate". This removes the previous response and outputs the new one.

That's not the case in CT 12.0.3. If you still use the previous CT version, just make sure the there is no mouse selection in the CT-L1 pane. The click (your workaround) removes the selection from CT-L1 pane.
That's not the case in CT 12.0.3.
I've just installed it and the issue I had been experiencing is gone, i.e. when switching to a new segment the CT-L1 pane is emptied, ready for a new query. Thanks!

It often happens that when clicking on a CT-L1 function while a segment is selected in CTE editor, CT-L1 repeats the action on the previously processed segment, not the selected one.
To make it work on the currently selected segment, it's necessary to go back to the previous segment first.
Is this by design?
