Propagation of one-digit segments to segments with numbers with more digits

I think that this is intended by the developer, e.g. because certain languages have different plurals, based on the number of items.
Nevertheless, for languages like German and English (Spanish, Italian, French too?), automatic propagation from 1 to 101 would be great.
