Hi Michael,
Have you restarted the program?
Yup, many times.
I understand that you applied the update as instructed in the announcement. Let's troubleshoot it (the Windows system):
1. Go to CafeTran's installation folder and navigate to lib subfolder. Check the following in the lib subfolder:
- there is editors-1.0.jar file.
- if you can see the old editors.jar, please remove it.
2. Go to infos/editors subfolder and edit the OpenOffice.res file (e.g in Notepad). See if there is a line that says: Path=lib/editors-1.0.jar
Yup, I applied the update as instructed.
I located editors-1.0.jar file. No editors.jar present
My OpenOffice.res contains the following:
Type=java
Path=lib/editors-1.0.jar
Name=editors.OOWriter
Class path=C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\classes\libreoffice.jar;C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program;
Not sure if it is relevant, but I have CT installed here:
D:\Dropbox\Apps\CafeTran\
Make sure that LibreOffice is selected in Preferences > General tab > Application connection field.
If the connection is successful, you will see "Connected to LibreOffice" down in the status bar in the Dashboard, right after you launch the program.
If nothing helps, perhaps some old settings interfere? Then, the solution is as follows:
1. Reset the Preferences (Preferences > the Reset button) and restart.
2. Select LibreOffice again in Preferences > > Application connection field.
macOS here.
1. done that
2. done that
Nevertheless:
- there is editors-1.0.jar file.
- if you can see the old editors.jar, please remove it.
yes
. Reset the Preferences (Preferences > the Reset button) and restart.
2. Select LibreOffice again in Preferences > > Application connection field.
I have tested it on Mac with M1 chip so far. I can see "Connected to LibreOffice" in the status bar (in your Screenshot). Does it occur as you create a new project?
It seems that LibreOffice has to be launched and Writer has to be launched with an empty document. Then it works:
LibreOffice isn't quit, when CafeTran Espresso is quit.
Editing a PDF via LO:
Perhaps two macros can be launched in LO:

Hi Igor,
Very good news about the LibreOffice previewer, and I am really looking forward to testing it!
However, when I click:
Resources > Open LibreOffice for preview
a dialogue pops up saying:
"Install and choose LibreOffice in Preferences > Application connection."
However, I already installed it, and choose LibreOffice in Preferences > Application connection.
my class path =
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\classes\libreoffice.jar;C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program;
What am I doing wrong here?
Michael
