When I notice an error in the translation of the previous segment, I go back with
. After fixing the error, I press Ctrl+Enter again.
The previously auto-assembled segment is skipped, although it doesn't have the attribute Translated (I'm working in a Trados project).
Is this by design? I would prefer that the auto-assembled segment isn't skipped ...

"Untranslated" means just no target segment or an empty segment. It has nothing to do with attributes. CT skips the segment because you provided the translation in the target segment editor and accepted it by the Next/Previous segment command.
