Please disregard the post above. Here is the new one:
In an ENG to ITA Word project I am doing now, segments with only
numbers propagate and transform correctly, that is, commas are
automatically replaced with periods, and vice versa. Auto-propagation
for numbers is set to ON.
But, numbers segments with only numbers between parenthesis (such as those found in balance sheets, for instance) do not get the replacement. What should I do to have CTE replace commas with periods automatically when they are within parenthesis?
I should add that I'm not using auto-assembly.
Thanks
Can anyone please answer this question? Thank you in advance!
Yesterday, for the second time I had to correct the wrong number format in many places after spending several hours to get it right. It's a huge corporate document where negative numbers are enclosed in parentheses, and since the source text is in English, for the right conversion in Italian I have to replace commas with periods and vice versa. For instance, numbers like (83,500.67) must be converted to (83.000,67).
This morning, when I started the second translation review I found that the Italian format reverted back to the English format. But, this is occurring with numbers in parentheses only. For the other numbers the comma-period conversion takes place correctly and stays so notwithstanding how many times I touch the file.
So, is there any setting, or a set of settings, that I should try to avoid this issue?
Thank you
Currently, CafeTran can convert the segments with numbers only, that is, without any additional characters. Ignoring the surrounding parentheses in such segments is a good idea. It might be added in the next update.
Thank you. If it can be done automatically within CTE, that is without external aids, it's a relief.

But, numbers segments with only numbers between parenthesis do not. How to avoid this discrimination?
