CafeTran

CafeTran Espresso 11 - Poppy Seed Roll version is available for download.

Important! Do not update before exporting your current projects. Please complete all your translation projects in your current CafeTran version before updating.

The update can be performed via Drag and Drop as follows:

1. Make sure your current CafeTran version is at least 10.7. It also should run on Java 11 or a higher version. Please check CafeTran and Java version in CafeTran's Help > About panel.

2. Download 20220425_update.zip file from here and place it on your desktop. Do not unzip or rename the file after downloading.

Note: On macOS system, Safari web browser may unzip the file automatically after downloading it. Before you download the update file, uncheck the following Safari option:

Safari > Preferences > General > Open "safe" files after downloading or use another web browser for the download.

3. Drag and Drop the downloaded 20220425_update.zip file anywhere in CafeTran's initial screen - the Dashboard.

Alternatively, you can install 20220425_update.zip file via the "Install Update" button in the Help > About panel instead of dragging and dropping.

What's new:

• Tracking Changes. This new feature is available via the Edit > Track Changes > Manage menu. See the Changes tab after activation. There, you can accept and reject changes to the current target segment.
• Filtering on tracked changes via the Filter menu.
• Accepting or rejecting all tracked changes in one task via the Task menu.
• Color settings for the changes in the View > Colors > Added/Deleted text color.
• New bright and dark image-based themes - see the View > Themes menu.
• Fixed spoken segments synchronization issue in Amazon Polly Text to Speech implementation.
• Fixed an issue with the spell checker dictionaries. It affects CafeTran on Mac with Apple M1 chip only - reinstallation is required.

The 11.0.2 update is available for download with the following changes:

- the coloured icons is now the default option for CafeTran themes.

- the list of DeepL.com MT languages has been updated.

- project name (if present) and creation date can be displayed in the headers of translation memory matches.

- showing the number of translation units in the translation memory pane when there are no matches for the current segment. If you click this number, the translation units present in the memory are displayed for navigation. The same feature has been added to the glossary showing the clickable number of entries.
