Keyboard Maestro 9.0 offers OCR

  • Version 9 adds support for OCR, either of images or directly from the screen, allowing you to easily interact with difficult applications or web pages.
  • Also possibly interesting for users of CafeTran Espresso 10 Croissant who want to assign dedicated keys to frequently used tasks: wide-ranging direct support for Elgato's Stream Deck keypads, allowing you to both trigger macros and alter button text and displayed images.

Extended Regex

  • Support \U, \u, \L, \l and \E in token fields including Search & Replace fields.
  • Support named capture groups (${name}) in regular expression replacement fields (10.13+).

Just scanned my first German add, using this macro, and was impressed by the correctness of Tesseract's OCR engine.


Just wanted to remind you that with this new Keyboard Maestro commands and CafeTran Espresso 10 Croissant's Clipboard Workflow you can create a nice workflow to translate paper images.
