A CafeTran Espresso translator review

I think it's a rather superficial review, not enough to trigger a real interest in a potential CAT tool user, especially an expert one. Several important aspects, that different people may label as pros or cons depending on the way they see and use CTE, have not even been touched, which proves the fact that the author is, as she herself wrote, only a basic user (well, like myself).

It wil be interesting to see, how you educate her, Jean. Good work.

One can always learn a lot from new users, about the intuitiveness and ease of use of the software.

My motto is often: new users are mostly right. It's the software that has to adapt.

Still: No Comments.

:(

BTW: Gregory Lasalle seems to be using oT instead of CafeTran Espresso 10 Croissant nowadays. Makes me wonder why. Both CAT tools vary lightyears, with CafeTran Espresso 10 Croissant flying in command position.

1. Some translators do not work on weekends. I haven't saved my comment, so I hope it went through alright.

2. This is an arbitrary assumption, based on a forum post about reviewing SDLXLIFF files (which is probably best done in SDL Trados, or perhaps MemoQ, not OmegaT or CafeTran) and does not have anything to do with the original topic.

Ouch. Are you having problems with me posting this in the OT Coffee Talk forum?

Just a suggestion: always save your comments offline.

Aren't they all?
