However this shows that Autopilot should perhaps only be used in certain scenarios (e.g. after all segments translated).

Love the "new" Autopilot functionality. However, it seems to be delayed for me by one segment (on Mac). When I activate it and move to the next segment, auto assembling and TM don't kick off and when the Autopilot moves to the next segment, auto assembling and TM show the results for the previous segment. 

Any idea how to solve this? :)

When restarting CT, the Autopilot should be deactivated by default (for heavy AP users – if any – this could perhaps be overruled by a point in the Preferences).

In my opinion, it is. Word's synthesized voice is very good. I use regularly the Italian and the Japanese voices and despite some minor errors they help a lot finding small errors, which you may easily miss when only reading on screen or on paper.Voice quality doesn't need to be perfect.

IMHO quite difficult, perhaps to resolve via interfaces the three OSs offer (Linux?). Perhaps there is a Java solution for this.

Than we could go a bit further: adding voice capabilities so that CT reads out the text for you. 

Vocal reading is considered the best proofing method, and combined with the Autopilot would make CT stand out even more from the competition, besides transforming itself in the never-look-back CAT tool for me if only an improved project management system were adopted. 

I know Macs have a native reading capability which could perhaps be used directly with CT; Windows too has it although for Word only, while I know nothing about Linux. By the way, can CT work with Dragon Speaking?

Yes, I had the same idea this morning. Perhaps even per character, not per word, to reflect this also for tetrachlorbetatriphenolesteroxid experts.

Igor: We'll see. This idea of such time auto-adjustment is nice, and I have been also considering it. For now, you can increase the default 2000 milliseconds (2 seconds) in Edit > Preferences > Autopilot delay.

Particularly with super long sentences in patent or legal translation where, say, 10 seconds may be needed, the same 10 seconds would be too long for much smaller segments. I'am confident you will introduce the time auto-adjustment sooner or later. Then, CT will be a real Space X (not a Tesla), other issues pending.

Why this new update has changed all panes' background image? Before updating all panes' had a white background, but after the update the texture 2.png was reinstated.

Would it be possible to adjust automatically the Autopilot delay based on the actual number of words in a segment? When segments are too long two seconds are really too little.

Igor: If you can't see the Autopilot item in the Action menu, you have not installed the latest update yet.

Oops, I drag and dropped the update as usual, but CafeTran had forgot that I own a licence, and the message was not about the update, it said updates are only for the licenced version. I had restarted without looking at the message.

After reimporting the licence, I can now see the Autopilot item in the Action menu. Plus, the timer button has the words ON or OFF written on the side, which is helpful.

It's nice to see the feature getting more publicity with its inclusion in the Action menu so more users will be aware of it, in case they wish to use it.
