Clients love to use authoring systems. Now I have a job where every non-breaking space is represented with <nbs/> (and every non-breaking dash with <nbd/> etc.).
A 'normal' segment like this:

As you can see, the words surrounding the new line tag are not recognised. And the representation of the innocent and simple character non-breaking space with a tag ... increases the tagging effort (thus lowering my efficiency and productivity).
