I have finished a translation and the client wants a bilingual file that can be opened with major CAT tools (Wordfast, SDL Trados, memoQ).
I haven't tried the other two yet because I don't want to open Parallels, but at least Wordfast doesn't recognise CafeTrans' bilingual translation file: it doesn't recognise the original xlf.docx, it also doesn't recognise .xlf when I remove the docx extension.
The solution can't be to use the tmx file and generate a new bilingual file in Wordfast, because I will lose all tags.
Ideas? Thanks for any input.
It works in Wordfast! Thanks
You can try the CafeTran's .xlf project file located in the project folder but I don't know if the other tools can handle CafeTran's .xlf flavor.
