All my fonts are set as Verdana (the default one) with different sizes.

However, when working with the term window, there is a smaller glitch. Pay attention to the 2nd apostrophe.

This is not the correct apostrophe.

This is the view of the glossary (after confirming the edited term above, it is shown as follows:

This is the true and real French apostrophe in Verdana (here again the second, as above the first is the straight one), also tested in Microsoft Word. There is no difference in display when putting it smaller or bigger.

Why now do I complain (besides the fact of being a bit keen on this funny kind of unsystematic details)?

In Verdana the apostrophes (straight and curly) are much easier to distinguish than in the term editor window above. And in the term editor window everything should be Verdana, shouldn't it?

That's not the point. Both are Verdana Plain.

But both (term editor window and glossary pane) are rendered by Java, aren't they? Why is the view then different?

Could have sth to do with Anti-Aliasing. Look also here. And it could also have its influence in other languages (Japanese?).

 

Perhaps a nice starting point to have all fonts settings changed on one overview page and not with x submenus.
