And then, you suggest another menu.
> In combination with that a menu command "Insert all exact matches and mark them as checked"
and another one.
Menu entries are much less disturbing and less intrusive than dialog boxes that pop up and cannot be stopped from popping up.
We can do it reverse and look for menu entries that are unnecessary. If there is one, we can put those above in. Deal?
> "Insert all exact matches and mark them as checked"
But then, another user might also suggest:
"Insert all exact matches and mark them as locked"
"Insert all exact matches and mark them as translated" etc.
Instead, you can do:
1. Filter > Matches > Exact and context matches.
2. Task > Set checked status for target segments.
Then, we keep having "clean GUIs, less clutter and less dialog boxes" and fewer menu items.
Found one. The command "Edit" > "Select all" is not needed. As CT is a program that does not have menu entries for Copy, Paste, Cut, why then should it have one for Select all?
> "Insert all exact matches and mark them as translated". Impossible
Possible, for "Translated/Confirmed" status of sldxliff/mqxliff files.
> As CT is a program that does not have menu entries for Copy, Paste, Cut
It doesn't need them in the menus because it has a fast access to those frequent actions via the buttons in the toolbar.
I guess that with editing an SDLXLIFF file I needn't wait until I finish it before I update? It's quite a big file.
Speaking of statuses, I think CTE segments will probably get the "Final" status for segments in the future. Although I find it as the perfect example of oversophistication to finalize/confirm the already checked segments, but it will enable better mapping to "Translated/Confirmed" status of sldxliff/mqxliff files.
> there maybe people who have their templates spread around on their hard disk
That's exactly why you can select the templates directly via your system file chooser now - (e.g Finder on Mac). CTE remembers their storing location so you don't need to navigate much if you keep them in one folder. The system file chooser also sorts them nicely, as was requested by other users. Besides, the previous submenu solution got quickly overcrowded and ugly with lots of templates.
