Term recognition with commas

How can I have CT recognize "nut" and "lock nut" without pipe?

Why should it, and why not a pipe character?

  • the comma (or maybe a period etc.) is something different than a letter
  • the pipe will lead to unwanted results and trigger for "nutting", "nuttiness" etc, eh, not the best example, I know)
  • we cannot always blame the source text for its mistakes

So how can I proceed without opening Pandora's box?

Just have your terms in the TM or glossary and do not remove comma character from the Do not match list in Preferences > Memory tab.
