Excellent, thanks!
Just noting an additional change, for the record: Uniform theme was removed.
A few comments from the appearance front:
In the Linux GTK theme, I've noticed an issue with the tabbed panel tabs, the tabs and text are crammed vertically. Also, previous version was more aesthetically pleasing, I think. Attaching two screenshot, one for update 25 and one for update 26.
I like to keep it simple and surround myself with neutral, non-distracting colors when it comes to my CAT. After re-applying the bright theme, I have a hard time reverting to a white or gray background color in all aspects of the theme. I have restored a previous preferences backup to keep working on the previous version of the bright theme for now, but the question remains for future reference:
How to get a similar look with the current appearance/view options?
Attaching two comparative screenshots, for 25 and 26 updates (Not sure this is 25 update, just the bright theme I was using before applying the latest update).
In general, I think there should be at least one theme or option that gives you clean, neutral colors (namely white and shades of gray), like most browsers and applications do. To keep splashes of color at bay :-)
PS: If white or bright colors hurt your eyes on the screen, there are apps that adjust the color temperature according to the position of the sun...I use Redshift (Linux, Windows), but there is also f.lux (Windows, OS X, Linux). This makes it a lot easier on the eyes.
Linux GTK theme has limiting options to change its default colors. For example, the user cannot change toolbar's color from the application level. So it is a bit hard to adjust it to CafeTran themes. In the latest build, there is a new System theme in the View > Themes menu that brings back the default colors for the given operating system, usually with the white background. Personally, I find white backgrounds very eye-tiring but it is a matter of taste, of course. By the way, if you turn on transparency for the System theme, you will get the uniform colors as in the removed Uniform theme.
The new build of update 26 (201711101) is available for download with the following:
- added the System theme to reflect underlying operating system background color.
- added the "Quick search" icon to the source editor toolbar to toggle Search bar on/off.
- fixed tabs border issue in the GTK theme appearing with the background grid on.
Please update the program as described in the announcement post above. Thanks and have a great weekend!
Thank you Igor.
Tabbed panel issue is now fixed, and applying System theme for GTK Linux appearance option gives back the grayish tones to anyone who prefers them.
To get my white background for source and target segment editors, I had just to additionally set View > Color > Background to white, for Source and Target segment editors. This also changed the Grid from a uniform gray to a more grid-like appearance, with different hues of gray for grid cells and grid borders/separators, which is a nice and welcome touch as well.
Have a great weekend too!

In the spot the differences game, I have also noticed all items related to TMX memory tasks have been gathered under the submenu Task > TMX memory. Nice, this menu was getting big!
