How can I have terms displayed when I have an Exact Match?

I only see the EM:

So what would you recommend for newbies?

It is a matter of a personal taste and past experience. As a newbie, I would definitely go for TM Fragments to focus on translation workflow rather than an advanced term-management possibly via external tools too. Editing, matching and searching TMX memory files, be it segments or fragments, in CafeTran is more than satisfactory.

I agree with your arguments apart from "concise term entry" editable virtually everywhere, which may be of paramount importance for some. With simple text editable files, users feel they are not limited by anyone or anything to do what they like to them. They have the ultimate control. Now imagine a database format for terminology and how "shaky" (with all the SQL commands) and closed it feels in contrast.

Wait a minute. Now it's simple again, whereas only recently you claimed that TMX files are for Simpletons like me, whereas tab dels are for highbrows like, like whom?

simple text editable files

I refer to the simplicity of the format itself - not the management process in general.

There must be someone walking around now with a big, self-satisfied grin on his charming face now :).

But, okay, I'll never mention the g* word again here. Ever.

HAHAHA. Just kidding here. Glossaries are great. TMs are great. Everything about CafeTran is great.

There's absolutely nothing "not simple" about the management process either. Add a column, that's about it.

That's my diplomatic and political or otherwise correct Igor again.
