Igor, you're a magician!
Basically, the temporarily API is no longer needed now.
It's so great to use this software and benefit from its constant improvements. Real improvements. For us translators.
Thanks, I hope that users can enjoy it as much as I have fun coding it.
I'm new here. Does CafeTran Espresso 2017 Yeddi update 24 also work for Linux installations? I tried without success.
If not when will it be available for Linux?

I'm sure that Jean and Torsten can tell you all you need to know (about running CafeTran on Linux).
Welcome, it's nice to see another GNU/Linux user here!
I can confirm the latest CafeTran works just fine on Linux.
However, it needs either Oracle's Java 9 or Java 8 to be installed. By default, some Linux distributions offer OpenJDK/JRE Java.
You can find instructions here:
Sorry, I misunderstood the problem you were describing.
Both update methods should work fine. At least they do for my GNU/Linux installation.
Maybe you should open a ticket for this or wait for Igor to chime in.
From the screenshot, I see you're trying to update from CafeTran 2015 to CafeTran 2017.
I don't have experience with that, my guess is that it may create complications.
You can always set up a new CT installation (different folder), otherwise, Igor should be able to offer a solution tomorrow.
As your CafeTran version is quite old, I would suggest reinstalling CafeTran (https://www.cafetran.com/download-for-linux).
Please complete your current projects before installation to avoid any unexpected export issues while switching from 2015 to 2017 version.
If you replace your older installation on the same computer and OS, you should be able to reuse the key. In case of any issues, please submit a support ticket.

CafeTran Espresso 2017 Yeddi update 24 is available for download. The update can be performed via the Drag & Drop procedure as follows:
1. Run CafeTran.
2. Download 20171016_update.zip file from here (do not unzip or rename the file after downloading) and place it on your desktop.
Note: On Mac OSX, the Safari web browser may unzip the file automatically after downloading. To prevent this, just use the right-click menu and choose the "Download Linked File" command.
3. Drag and drop the downloaded .zip file into CafeTran's Dashboard - the first screen after the start.
Alternatively, you can install the update via the Update button in the Help > About panel instead of dragging and dropping.
