Taken form here, as the decision can be useful when restoring settings via templates (is of interest, even if Igor might change the setting mentioned over there):
I always "check" my segments during the first translation phase, and I do a spell check and QA before finishing (and some external and/or non-digital checks more), but I assume other people "only" translate and check them with spell check and QA. For me the grey of the checked segments differentiates them from pre-translated segments (in external file formats).
Any comments on this or on your optimal workflows?
