To take advantage of these specs, I would recommend bumping the RAM to at least 8 GB. RAM is pretty cheap these days. 4GB can still work I guess, but 8 GB or more is a worthy investment.
I'm working on a Linux laptop with similar specs and 8 GB RAM, it feels tight at times (especially if I open the VM), but CT runs fine most of the time.

I don't know much about Windows anymore, but if an OS is short of RAM, it'll create a swap file on the harddisk. Now if the harddisk is an SSD (especially if it's PCIe based, standard on all Macs), that swap file should be pretty fast. It should work, I think. But don't open that VM...

A new user contacts me and writes:
I have Windows 10 Pro, Core i5-7200U, CPU: Intel Core i5-7200U, 2x 2.50GHz, RAM: 4GB DDR4, SSD: 256GB…
Is 4GB enough for CafeTran on Windows?
