Metal and Nimbus are Java cross platform Look and Feels. You you wish to get the full compatibility with Mac standard shortcuts, you need to use Mac Look and Feel.

Yup. But the Ctrl equivalents don't work either.
They may not work if Mac uses them for its own actions.
