Thank you Igor for all three items!
I've made a quick test with the auto-correction and got some mixed results, as well as some latency before I get the corrections, but will have to test some more before I say anything definite.
>"Replace all" also does the replacement in the target segment being edited.
This is so nice :)
Häppy!
How complicated... I followed all the steps, but I am not sure something happened.
Hello,
You can check CafeTran's version in Help>About.
From there, you can also Update the software by clicking Install update and selecting the downloaded zip file for the update.
You can also drag-and-drop the zip on the Dashboard and CafeTran will close to apply the update.
If still at loss, can you explain your issue in more detail?
What do you mean for "Dashboard"? I dragged the zip file I put on the desktop on the icon menu that appears when mouse reaches the bottom part of the screen, but nothing happened.
I tried also the first option and I got this message:
Hello Marco,
It looks like your CafeTran.app on Mac is not properly installed in the Applications folder. You run it from the installer volume instead. You should have it installed in the Applications folder and run it from there (not from the installer). So before you update, please make sure you have CafeTran installed in the Applications folder.
IK: It looks like your CafeTran.app on Mac is not properly installed in the Applications folder
It doesn't have to be installed in the Application Folder. It can be "installed" anywhere. Even on another drive. Mac 101.
You run it from the installer volume instead
Now that's wrong.

Thank you guys for your imput.
I tried both, with CafeTran in the Applications folders and also with a copy in the desktop: no one worked. I also tried dragging the zip file and dropping it on the dashboard. Nothing. I got this message:
Any idea about what can be the problem?
Thanks!
Marco

Thanks, Amos. I tried both ways and I keep getting the same message:

Not really, but I noticed you're trying to update Ichiro. It could very well be that that version is too old to be updated that way. Try downloading the latest complete version, Yeddi (but don't delete Ichiro yet for your settings unless you have a Time Machine back-up).

Marco, I am not sure but I think you are still trying to install CafeTran and update it at the same time, hence the error. The installation is done via dragging CafeTran red icon into the Applications folder icon. I wonder if you have ever installed in the Applications or only run it from the installer volume directly? So please make sure it is installed in the Applications. As Hans suggested, you can install the latest version from scratch, downloading it first from https://www.cafetran.com/download-for-mac, instead of updating. You would need to remove the old version before.
I noticed there is no article for "Installing CafeTran Espresso on OS X" in Solutions.
While the installation is pretty straightforward, it might make sense to add an entry there.

Hi,
CafeTran Espresso 2017 Yeddi update 10 is available for download. The update can be performed via the Drag & Drop procedure as follows:
1. Run CafeTran.
2. Download 20170517_update.zip file from here (do not unzip or rename the file after downloading) and place it on your desktop.
Note: On Mac OSX, the Safari web browser may unzip the file automatically after downloading. To prevent this, just use the right-click menu and choose the "Download Linked File" command.
3. Drag and drop the downloaded file into the Project Dashboard and restart the program.
Alternatively, you can install the update via the Update button in the Help > About panel instead of dragging and dropping.
What's new:
The update 10 is a maintenance update summing up a few builds released after the update 9. Furthermore, the following fixes and improvements have been made:
