Does CafeTran support the Google Translate Premium Edition?
I second this (or I first this, since it was already requested - https://cafetran.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/6000046978)
“The Google Cloud Translation API is no longer taking requests for access to the Premium Edition (Beta).
Instead, the premium features of the Google Cloud Translation API have been made generally available in the Standard Edition. All users have access to the robust translation features available using the Neural Machine Translation (NMT) model, as well as the capabilities of the Phrase-Based Machine Translation (PBMT) model. There is no difference in pricing between the standard, PBMT model, and the NMT model.”
The above is correct. CafeTran's latest update 8 already uses the new (NMT) model where Google makes it available.
OK, albeit I am not sure that CafeTran has full access to the Google Translate API.
I am a paying subscriber to their service and got an API key, which cannot be shared.
In memoQ I can enter this code in the machine translation section.
In other words: using Google Translate in a browser is free, but using the Google Translate service through a translation software is not free, you have to pay for it.
In CafeTran, you can enter Google's API Key in Edit > Preferences > MT services tab.
