CafeTran Espresso 2017 - Yeddi Update 6

Hi,

 

CafeTran Espresso 2017 Yeddi update 6 is available for download. The update can be performed via the Drag & Drop procedure as follows:


1. Run CafeTran.

2. Download 20170410_update.zip file from here (do not unzip or rename the file after downloading) and place it on your desktop.


Note: On Mac OSX, the Safari web browser may unzip the file automatically after downloading. To prevent this, just use the right-click menu and choose the "Download Linked File" command.

 

3. Drag and drop the downloaded file into the Project Dashboard and restart the program.


Alternatively, you can install the update via the Update button in the Help > About panel instead of dragging and dropping.


What's new:

  • New Auto-propagation option - Auto-propagation forward only.
  • In the Filter view, hold CTRL key while clicking the Filter button to stay at the last filtered segment after return to the Normal view.
  • Editing the user's spell check dictionary or non-translatables sets the cursor at the end of the file.
  • Fixed display of percentage numbers in the progress bars in Nimbus look and feel.
  • When in the Glue mode, CafeTran displays the red G in the segments grid to indicate the glue mode.

Igor, thank you for the new features!


The previous update resulted in bigger fonts that continue to display in this update. See screenshots attached. Is there a way to resize them down a little ?


1600x900 resolution here on a Laptop.

In the latest build (2017041203) of the update 6, the Search panel is more compact with all the buttons in one toolbar.

> 1600x900 resolution here on a Laptop.


The interface font size for that resolution has been slightly decreased in the latest build.

> Could we have this Ctrl-button click for all project types please? 8-)


On my testing Mac computer, the Ctrl+Filter button click to stay at the last filtered segment works both in the single-file and multi-file project. The current limitation is that in the multi-file project, you need to glue the documents for this feature.

After a full restart, I confirm the font size issue is gone in the latest build. All good!

I do not know what it was, whether a full restart of the OS or simply the fact that I only tested this with a ttx file.

  • The Ctrl-Click feature works now fine in all kinds of projects and file types, but not in ttx.
  • Please don't waste any time in this obsolete file type (I only have one colleague that treats me with themm and I can always switch to mqxliff or sdxliff with them).
  • Congrats to the new S/R field, much more logical and cleaner than before (okay, htere is always room for improvement, e.g. remove the words "segments" in the right column). Must be a kind of KISBI strategy (Keep It Simpe But Intelligent).
Feature request:
When QAing a project would it be possible to have the red square around the active segment (in Translation units) a bit thicker so as to make it more visible.

 

The border line around the active segment is slightly thicker in the latest update 7.
