Q: Why different types of matching algorithm for same term?

The example below shows the same term ("supplier") found by two different types of algorithm: prefix matching (60%) and stem look-up. Although there are no duplicates, I'm wondering why.

Note: The source text contains both "supplier" and "suppliers."

I am not sure but probably "suppliers" was caught by stem matching and "supplier" by prefix matching. I don't think it matters which algorithm is involved as long as they find the correct matches.
