> The incremental match pick-up feature is a great time saver. Thanks!
You're welcome! There is an interesting side-effect to this feature. It enables really fast selection of single words to add them to the TM or glossary if they are not present in the Machboard:
Double-shift in the source pane, double-shift in the target pane and add the pair to your resource.

> Actually, I was hoping for such an exclusion for Memory > Import segments from project, as this is the main way to spoil a good TM with bogus pre-translated and then locked (by the client!) segments.
Locked segments are skipped there too.
> However, is there a possibility to move to the next (or previous) segment without changing status to checked or locked in this mode?
Once you change the Translate status to Check or Lock, you don't need to keep selecting it at each new segment. The state is toggled for the rest of subsequent segments so once you change it, it remains the current state.
Reversing the state (e.g. from Check back to Translate) is a bit hidden - via the right click at the source segment editor - because it is much less frequent action.
Hi Elisabetta,
You can unlock all the locked segments in one go via the Task > Unlock segments. If you wish to unlock individual segments, first you need to uncheck Action > Skip > Locked segments to access locked segments and unlock them.

If this is a project created in another tool, just restart the program. The locked status is set only for the current session not to interfere with the locked status set in that tool (e.g. Studio).
That's correct. Currently, it's a bit tricky to agree on the locked status set in CafeTran and the one set in Studio, so you need to restart CafeTran to cancel CafeTran's locked status without touching Studio's locked status.
Hi Igor,
Regarding:
Turning on/off the auto-propagation of single segments via the right-click at the source segment pane. It replaces the auto-propagation blocked by alternative translations.
What is the function then of the old Alternative translations system, which is still available in CT? Should this perhaps be removed now?
Michael
Igor, thank you for your answers, much appreciated.
Hi Michael,
Do you mean "removing" Alternative translation? I don't think it is a good idea. They are helpful when comparing various versions of the translated segment. Also, see the Version status in the target segment toolbar (the status box). It creates an alternative translation if the segment is changed.
Aha, OK, in that case definitely leave it as it is!

Hi,
CafeTran Espresso 2017 Yeddi update 2 is available for download. The update can be performed via the Drag & Drop procedure as follows:
1. Run CafeTran.
2. Download 20170302_update.zip file from here (do not unzip or rename the file after downloading) and place it on your desktop.
Note: On Mac OSX, the Safari web browser may unzip the file automatically after downloading. To prevent this, just use the right-click menu and choose the "Download Linked File" command.
3. Drag and drop the downloaded file into the Project Dashboard and restart the program.
Alternatively, you can install the update via the Update button in the Help > About panel instead of dragging and dropping.
What's new:
Have a nice afternoon,
Igor
