Yes, that was I wrote in my previous posting here. Anyway. Here's my reply to Channa at Proz:

CafeTran is <b>niet moeilijker</b> dan een andere CAT-tool – wel <i>anders van opzet</i> (wat onder andere in snellere bewerkingen resulteert). 

Misschien is je oordeel gebaseerd op het feit dat je geen gelikte documentatie kon vinden? Enerzijds is er nog steeds geen allesomvattende gebruiksaanwijzing, anderzijds is er genoeg informatie te vinden om te kunnen starten. En ook de CafeTran-gebruikersgroep is zeer hulpvaardig.

Dan je opmerking over Java. Ik neem aan dat je je mening baseert op twee zaken uit het verleden:

<li> De voorheen gebrekkige integratie van MultiTerm in Studio, die via Java was gerealiseerd.

<li> Java plug-ins voor browsers die kwaadwillenden toegang tot je computer boden.

</ul>

Voor beide problemen is inmiddels een oplossing gevonden (voor het tweede luidt die: nooit Java plug-ins installeren in je browser).

Java is de populairste programmeertaal die er is (zie bijv. <a href="http://m.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Programmiersprache-des-Jahres-ist-Java-3583597.html">Heise over Java</a>). Dat is ook niet gek, want het maakt het mogelijk om programma's te ontwikkelen die zowel op Macs, pc's als Linux-computers draaien. Ook Wordfast LLC heeft voor Java gekozen: een verstandige keuze.

I think that it's important to note that the thread starter is declared advocate and trainer of Wordfast, who has attacked me as a CafeTran fan in the past. (Postings were removed by Proz, because of very insulting language.)

It's much worse. SDL blamed their failing Multiterm on Java, so now the middle of the road people are against Java. The funny thing is that Multiterm still uses Java for some things, and the very same middle of the road people use exploding Android (stolen from Java) phones, without exception.

For a good reason. The filth of Mountain View, the backward little advertising company, STOLE Java from SUN/Oracle. And the only, ONLY, reason for it is the law suit. DEATH to the lower life forms!

Just found that Java has been embedded in this new CAT tool BasicCAT too. First time that I installed such a package with embedded Java (did so before, on Windows).

I must say: very elegant and intuitive.

I'm happy that 2019 will be the year to come.

 Is that true that CafeTran Espresso 2019 comes with an integrated Java runtime now? How can I migrate to the new app? I was planning to look for new translation tools.

No information how to do it in the latest news post Using CTE with the integrated Java program write my paper runtime. What security fixes have been mentioned? 

Any updates anyway?
