SDLXliff and open memories

 Hello:

I am still grappling with the new features - being conditioned by Trados.

How can I simply open a memory without having to start a project? I just want to look at the memory and edit it.

How do I simply open a sdlxliff file and trados project file provided by my colleague? Without project.

How to import the sdlxliff file into my existing tmx memory?

Is there a possibility to automatically see the fields (client, topic etc.) while translating?

Thank you very much for any help and kind regards from Nicolette

Run CafeTran, drop the TM on the Dashboard, and follow the instructions. You can use Task in the Menu for basic maintenance.

BTW, in a project, you can also edit TM entries by clicking on the blue number above the TM entry.

An SDLXLIFF file is a project, so again, drop it on the Dashboard.

Not sure about this one, because... I don't use these fields. For TMX files (TMs), I think hovering over the blue numbers I mentioned earlier, will show metadata.
