CafeTran Espresso 2016 Ichiro - Update 26

Hello,

CafeTran Espresso 2016 Ichiro - Update 26 is available for download. The update can be performed via the Drag & Drop procedure as follows:

1. Run CafeTran.

2. Download 20161118_update.zip file from here (do not unzip or rename the file after downloading) and place it on your desktop.

Note: On Mac OSX, the Safari web browser may unzip the file automatically after downloading. To prevent this, just use the right-click menu and choose the "Download Linked File" command.

3. Drag and drop the downloaded file into the Project Dashboard and restart the program.

Alternatively, you can install the update via the Update button in the Help > About panel instead of dragging and dropping.

What's new:

The update 26 is a summary of minor visual improvements and fixed issues reported after the release of update 25. Two main changes are the following:

  1. Switch to the horizontal Total Recall Dashboard panel split when the main window gets very narrow.
  2. Flow layout of resource names in the Dashboard panels to use the available space better and fit more resources in the panels without scrolling.

Enjoy your weekend,

Igor

@Victor:

So there's this strange black line and truncated text at the right-hand side.

Did you try dragging the bottom right corner of the whole CafeTran GUI towards the centre of the screen and then draw it back?

Yes I tried. But CT is doing a lot of random stuff, it's really frustrating as I can't really work. Just know, it doesn't let me select tabs, the editor is freezed, it doesn't open Web Resources :S:S I've restarted it like 10 times (preferences I mean). I don't know what more to do.

@Masato:

I can confirm it. The F2 non-alphabetic listing for CJK languages will be corrected in the coming update 27.

@Wojciech

I cannot reproduce it in the latest build (2016112202).

@Victor

First of all, make sure you are using the latest build indeed (2016112202). If any of the issues persists, please submit a ticket with the screenshot. I can see in your screenshot above lots of resources. Maybe one of your resources is causing this issue - then load them one by one to find out at which point the problem appears. How much RAM have you assigned for CafeTran in Edit > Preferences > Memory tab > Java memory field? You may need to increase it if your TMs are large and loaded directly into RAM, that is, without Total Recall.

Hi,

to be fair, in other project that I'm working on now shorter phrases are accepted by CT as non-translatables. Perhaps it'a a question of length of a phrase (i.d. longer ones despite being remembered by CT in non-translatable list are not displayed in F4 window nor marked in editor).

However, it seems that white spaces disappeared and there are some new rules on tags (e.g. a tag in the target editor (in automatic mode) which does not occur in the source editor.

Hi Igor, thanks for replying. No I don't really have time to try things, I lost too much time. I'm using 4094 RAM (I have 16GB) and I've been always using those web resources w/o problems till now so it may be some other thing.

4096 sorry. It's in Mac partition, I haven't tried on Windows thou. Will try everything when I finish the projects I'm working on.
