I'm using Autokey-gtk py3, "A Python 3 port of AutoKey, the desktop automation utility for Linux and X11. It allows you to manage collection of scripts, and assign abbreviations and hotkeys to these scripts allowing you to execute them on demand in whatever program you are using."

Basically, can use it as TextExpander + scripts, I prefer to use a global feature for this instead of something specific to CT or Omegat.

For example, I use it to print the current date in format like 20160613 for organizing my folders.

I've just installed Autokey (GTK) (of which Autokey-gtk py3 was originally a Python port). It's going to save me a whole heap of time!

Yeas it does indeed. And I think that in analogy you can say this of CafeTran:

CafeTran gives you a degree of productivity you didn't even know that any CAT tool was able to offer.

What I mean is this: "everyone" is talking about the few market leaders, whereas if new users would learn how incredibly smart CafeTran is, they would probably reconsider buying these other tools and go for CafeTran.

At least, that's my opinion.

It's in the interest of all of us to spread the word about CafeTran's great feature pack.

I respectfully disagree Hans. Without  documentation, tooltips, a wiki, clear workflows for and clear information on limitations when translating Studio and MemoQ files, etc., etc., etc., CT is only suitable for very tech-savvy users with the time and inclination to solve numerous undocumented problems themselves. Most translators really aren't that tech-savvy and don't have the problem-solving skills/patience.
Until CT is able to offer a far more user-friendly user experience, it will remain a very niche product.

I installed it and it work great. If you use python scripts within it, just make sure that the „shebang” points to python3.
