Q: Anyone needs these additional features?

I think it is very nice if CT offers additional features in "Task."

Remove internals tags in TMX
  • Instead of replacing them with spaces.

Smart-replace internal tags in TMX

  • The five basic formatting tags (bold, italics, underline, super/subscripts) are simply removed; and
  • Other tags are replaced with spaces.

Anyone needs these?

Removal is already possible via filtering when opening a TMX file
>The five basic formatting tags (bold, italics, underline, super/subscripts) are simply removed // Did you already try to use a regex for that? Not sure whether these tags can be edited or are protected. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.
What I have in mind is TMX exported from memoQ that contains those basic tags. In CT, they are shown as {}, but for an unknown reason, I couldn't replace them.

I confirm that { and } cannot be removed

Here's the TMX file exported from memoQ.

Internally, they look somewhat unique, don't they?

These are the tags within the tags. You can remove them by:

  1. Open the memory.
  2. Click the Filter button at the TM start-up options panel.
  3. Check "Remove the internal tags" box.

No problems to S/R in TextWrangler, it seems:

H.

Thank you, everyone.

But I still want to see a "smart-replacement" feature.
