REQ Tiny improvements to Ctrl+U

I'd like to request the following Tiny improvements to Ctrl+U (delete up to the last char of the segment):

  • When Ctrl+U is used in front of a word (not at the end of a word), the trailing  space is deleted to:

Zwölf Boxkämpfer jagen Viktor zum Spaß quer über den Sylter Deich.

Cursor positioned at D, press Ctrl+U, current effect:

Zwölf Boxkämpfer jagen Viktor zum Spaß quer über den Sylter .

Improved effect:

Zwölf Boxkämpfer jagen Viktor zum Spaß quer über den Sylter.

  • Better handling of combinations of quotes and brackets at the end of the segment, before full stop. They'll get deleted now, I'd prefer that they are kept. I think that's the most frequent situation.

This idea could be combined with a QA for interpunction issues.

Examples

Do you see the mistake ?

If William was more intelligent , he would work as a translator.

I am pretty aware of the fact that some languages (French) have other rules concerning interpunction, so this would need to be a quite flexible QA.

Or the flexible spacing of Microsoft Office could be introduced (but indeed do not ask me how). AFAIR this would automatically delete the remaining space from your example above. This would also mean less control for the user - not the ideal solution.
