CafeTran Espresso 2016 Ichiro - Update 5 is available for download. The users who purchased the program after 22 April 2015, in the new licensing system, do not have to install it anew. They can update it via a simple drag and drop procedure as follows:
1. Run CafeTran.
2. Download 20160411_update.zip file from here (do not unzip or rename the file after downloading) and place it on your desktop.
Note: On Mac OSX, the Safari web browser may unzip the file automatically after downloading. To prevent this, just use the right-click menu and choose the "Download Linked File" command.
3. Drag and drop the downloaded file into the Project Dashboard and restart the program.
4. Drag and drop the downloaded file into the Project Dashboard and restart the program. Second time!
The step 4 above is only for the users who missed the preview (Harbinger) and Ichiro updates with the new icon sets.
On Mac OS X, the latest Java 1.8.0_77 update broke the drag and drop function in CafeTran. The fix is available starting from CafeTran's Update 4. If you skipped the previous update 4, please choose the downloaded update file via the Help > About > Install Update button instead of dragging and dropping it into the Project Dashboard.
The Ichiro update 5 brings the improvements to the Match bar:
The update 5 also fixes the TMX file path issue in the TMX edit mode on the Linux system.
Have a nice week,
Items 1 to 3 result in the following screen:
How about adding spaces to the inserted matches and/or providing a keyboard shortcut that will add a space when a match is selected with the mouse? E.g. space or shift plus mouse selecting item 2 (toestel) will add a space.
The idea is that this will enable filling the whole segment with words and spaces easily. Nope, this isn't easier than mouse selection and pressing the spacebar afterwards. But adding spaces all the time could be simpler: more words are followed by a space than not. Now you have to add 10 spaces. Then you would have to press backspace 2 or 3 times (at the end of the segment, before a comma etc.).
I'm quite amazed, how many input modes CafeTran supports. Everyone can pick an input mode that suits his needs.
Thanks, Igor! Great job!
