Using the Clipboard workflow

Using the Clipboard workflow

Using the Clipboard workflow to translate two PDF files:

  • The translation of one PDF file is sent to an MS Word document.
  • The translation of the other PDF file is directly pasted into the PDF, using a dedicated PDF editor (PDFpenPRO).

Someone who has the guts to call himself "cafetran.training" (which I think Igor should "discourage", to put it mildly) should refrain from OS specific advice, or any other advice that isn't correct in all circumstances for all operating systems without mentioning that particular fact.

IK: Good Sunday morning, :)

Politically correct, and nice as always. Do you have balls?

cafetran.training: There we go again ...

No, you should go. You promised. After your failed attempt to have me voted out, and your subsequent BLACKMAIL regarding the Wiki, you should go. NOW! Think of your adorable wife and lovely children!

I think that I'm at liberty to choose any name that reflects best the activity that I offer

I think you should refrain from offering trainings. Poor students.

Believe me, if Igor wouldn't have agreed with that, he would have told me so

Igor has no balls. But why do you think he's speeding up his KB to unprecedented (almost 11 years) levels?

PDFpenPRO is Mac only, and costs an embarrassing USD 125. Is this the advice you think is suitable for Newbies, who may or may not use the most advanced OS in the universe?

Good Sunday morning, :)

The way the Clipboard workflow works, offers lots of possibilities for the export. Personally, I would recommend the Ms Word or LibreOffice export to PDF functions since these are the most popular and natural edit environments, not limited to any operating system. Other solutions like the mentioned PDF editors are OK too if the user finds them more suitable for her personal workflow and system environment.

Igor

cafetran.training: It's not supposed to be used to translate a whole PDF with 345 segments

You never mentioned that, and your MD approach is particularly silly.

The forum is called CafeTran for Newbies. Questions or issues with balls and political correctness are of no particular interest here.

Have a wonderful afternoon Hans!

See my earlier comment(s). The fact remains that you should go from here (and ProZ).

NOW!

I repeat:

The forum is called "CafeTran for Newbies", and the thread is about "Using the Clipboard Workflow" so please stay to the point. Topics such as political correctness, balls, who "should go from anywhere" simply do not help the users much. They may amuse them in the least but generally they cause unnecessary and distracting 'noise'.

So are PDFpenPRO, markdown, Typenator, KeyboardMaestro, regular expressions, and so on and so forth.

Keep it simple. Keep Lenting out.
