One of rare occasions and of course Windows (Parallels) was involved: after having closed my MacBook Pro (cover/lid down) because it was dinner time (yep, I do have to eat too), this morning when I opened the MacBook Pro, the screen stayed black.
I could make a screenshot, so it was not frozen:
Command+Alt+Esc didn't open the Force Quit Applications dialogue box, so at the end, all I could do was ... press the power button.
