Hans CafeTran Wiki: Why isn't the translation for erhöhten Temperatur displayed in the tabbed pane?
Beats me. It should work, but it doesn't. Great. More features, please.

>This cannot be true. Tell me it isn't true. It seems I'll have to go thermonuclear on this.
I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean that the entry for 'erhöhte Temperatur' isn't recognised in your TMX either, when it occurs in one of the other cases (Fälle)? If so, did it work before or did I make a mistake in the way I entered the term in the TMX? Perhaps I should choose some special settings for the TMX for terms?
Hans CafeTran Wiki: Do you mean that the entry for 'erhöhte Temperatur' isn't recognised in your TMX either
That's exactly what I mean. In the second occurrence, "Temperatur" should be green, and "erhöhter" should be green up to the last "r". I checked my settings, but It seems very much like the TMX termbase has been downgraded to a tab del glossary. Completely useless. I'm not happy.

>I'm not happy.
I can understand that. Probably Igor will respond soon.
But it cannot be true, can it? If it's true, fuzziness won't work for memories for segments either, unless it's specifically and only disabled for memories for terms.
H.
Hi Hans and Hans,
TMX termbases have not been downgraded. It has worked like this from the very beginning. Please turn on prefix matching for the translation memory to have the fragments with variable suffixes recognized by CT.
Igor
Igor Kmitowski: Please turn on prefix matching
I did. Same err, thing.

I have just checked. It works okay with the prefixed matching on (the default - Fixed length option for prefix matching). It recognized variable parts in every word of the fragment such as 'erhöhte temperaturen'.
You need to turn the prefix matching option on before the memory is loaded.
Great. Thanks for looking into this. I'll try to replicate this. Sounds like a really nice way to fuzzy match multi-word terms.
It's there's a hit now, but no indication in the SL pane. Only F1/F2 show results, and I never use them. And another thing, how can my Options have changed without me knowing it?
H.
It's there's = there's. F Freshdesk. It's stale.

Screencast about TMX for terms -- had no time to demonstrate it in the Proz webinar.

I'm trying to understand how a TMX for terms works. I've created a sample document and added 'erhöhte Temperatur = increased temperature' to the TMX for terms. I would expect that 'erhöhten Temperatur' would be recognised now:
Have I misunderstood these TMX for terms? Why isn't the translation for erhöhten Temperatur displayed in the tabbed pane?
