Urgent please> Glue Word files > export as single file?

Hello all,

I am working on a project in which 30 Word documents have been glued. Can they once translated be exported as a single file? So far I only find ways to export individually and do not want to waist time copying and pasting..

I will appreciate your comments.

Thank you!

Elena

When the docs have a simple layout and formatting, the target column of the external review table could be used.

I think that for unknown reasons (simply too large to handle?), the client split the file. There are various apps that can do that, and after working on the split documents, the very same app can merge* them again in the right order. So I think you trying to merge the documents wasn't necessary, and might actually have ruined the document, especially if you would have done it automagically.

It would be very useful if CT could offer the possibility of exporting the translation as a single document, although I understand that for the moment it is only a virtual feature.

I don't think so, especially not in this case. If I'm right. And I'm always right.

*merge in MS Speak seems to mean: put two (and not more than two) documents together in order to compare them. "Concatenate" would be a better word for your situation.

Yes, this merging can be done via (hidden) bookmarks. Manually combining the translated files could wreck that process.
