Community-driven localisation of the CafeTran UI?

Just read this in the OmegaT mailing list:

Didier is preparing a 3.5 version release.

If you want the new UI strings to be included in the release, download the file from this link, update your translation and send it back to me.

Thank you in advance.

Which made me wonder: should we maybe do something similar for CT? That is, stick the UI strings in TMXs and allow users to localise them?

CafeTran in German, Dutch, English, Japanese, French, etc. … sounds pretty good to me!

As far as I know, the English interface is already available.

It's always good to start the day off with a laugh ;)

Hi Michael,

That is a good idea indeed. I should come up with some UI localization offer soon.

:)

Since English is already covered, I hope that you will supply one of the many other languages that you speak, like Spanish, Greek or Dutch!

My Spanish, Greek and Dutch are all pretty terrible, to be honest, but I could definitely help with the Dutch strings, especially since it would be a translation from English into Dutch, and I specialise in translating the other way around. You and the other Hans would obviously be a much better choice for the Dutch stuff.
